About The Client

The Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is a statutory body constituted under the Registration of Engineers Act 1967. Its primary role is to facilitate the registration of Engineers, Engineering Technologists, Inspectors of Works, Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships and Corporate Bodies that are providing professional engineering services as well as regulating the professional conduct and practices of registered persons’ in order to safeguard the safety and interest of the public.


As part of its vision of being a world-class regulator, BEM wanted to have a platform in which it could communicate the latest policies and regulations to the engineering community. At the same time, it also wanted to promote innovations and thought-leadership in the profession.

Why The IBR Asia Group

BEM commissioned us to develop and execute that platform owing to our experience in helping Government agencies communicate with corporates through our storytelling ability, as well as our extensive network and reach to professionals.

Revitalised BEM’s in-house publication The Ingenieur into an engaging platform for BEM to communicate the latest developments, innovations and technology, as well as laws and regulations governing the sector to industry stakeholders
